if you're reading between the lines and try to make It say something, that in
between the lines says something different than what the lines says,
then
it's wrong.
But
it's got to agree,
all
the way through It.
The Bible is just like a
great jig-saw puzzle,
if you'll excuse the
expression.
And
if you just try to put it together just the way you look at it, you've got to
have
something
over here to look at.
If you don't, you'll ruin your scene.
You'll
have a cow picking grass on top of a tree.
So it won't be right.
So
that's the way it is with--when you try to put the Bible together with a intellectual understanding of It.
You can't do it.
It's a Spirit written Word,
and
it
takes the ]
to
place It together.
II TIMOTHY 4:2-4
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

associate like Demas
was to Paul,

leave Paul?
You
know Brother Baxter, many of you remember him.
He used to read this about Demas.
He said,

know what I'm going to do, Brother Branham, when I get to heaven, the first
thing I'm going to do?"
And
I said,
"What?"
He
said,
"I'm
going to walk right up and find out where Demas is;
I'm going to sock him just as hard as I can."
And said,
"He's
going to turn around and say, 'Baxter, what'd you do that for?'" He said,
"Why'd you leave poor little Paul when everybody forsaken him?" I
don't prescribe to that; I don't believe they'll have some fights up there;
but I
just thought about Brother Baxter saying that
'cause he felt so sorry for Paul.

what
had Paul done?
He had preached just as loyal as he could,

the
Holy Spirit was on him.

Now, if we'll go back to
where they were first called saints and find out what kind of a faith they had,
then
we'll know more or less what they contend—
what to contend for.

people put their own interpretation.
But we try the
very best that we can,
not to put any human
interpretation on It:
just read It like It is,
and say,
"That's the way It
is."
And then I've

what He said,
it'll make everything
dovetail just exactly right in the Scripture.
It's almost like putting a jigsaw puzzle together;
you have to
look at the pattern
before
you can get the puzzle together right.
SPLICING THE WORD:
[Luke 24, beginning with the
13th verse. - The Road To Emmaus.]
Psalm 41:9 He would be betrayed by His friends.
Zechariah 13:7, He
was forsaken by His disciples.
Psalms 35:11, accused by
false witnesses, you just said He was.
Isaiah 53:7, He was dumb
before His accusers.
Isaiah 50 and 6, they scourged
Him, the prophet said.
Psalms 22, He was to cry
on the cross, 'My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?'"
Psalms 22 again, 18, His
garments was parted among them.
Psalms 22:7 to 8, mocked by His enemies, the church.
Psalms 22 again, there was not a
bone in His body to be broke, but 'they pierced My
hands and My feet,'"
Isaiah 53:12 said He would
die between malefactors.
Isaiah 53:9 said He was
buried with the rich.
Psalms 16:10 said, 'I will
not leave His soul in hell, neither will I suffer My
Holy One to see corruption.'
Malachi 3 the forerunner
of this Man?"

matter how real it seems when the man's a-telling it or how real his dream is
or his revelation is, if it--every book in the Bible, the entire Bible doesn't
reflect the light on it, that it's the truth,
leave it alone.
Leave it
alone.
Now, you can take a little
piece of Scripture here, say, "Jesus did so-and-so and we ought to do the
same." You can make It say anything you want to
make It say, but it's got to come all the way through and line up perfectly
with the Word of God.
Then it's right. That's God
saying so.
